Since a Windows 8 update installed yesterday lunchtime I have been having problems. It started with an error popping up in Firefox saying the Adobe Flash plugin had stopped working. The error box had the option to either continue or stop plugin, whichever I chose the Firefox page would freeze for a while, and I couldn't select any other Firefox windows. Once this had happened a few times I tried to reinstall it. It would download and the User Account Box would come up asking whether to allow it I clicked yes and then nothing happens. I also tried to install the new version of Java and the same thing happened. It downloaded did the user check and then nothing. I wondered if it was Firefox problem, so I uninstalled Firefox with the intention to reinstall it after, but the same thing happened again. It downloaded, the user check came up and then nothing.
I've tried restarting and shutting down my laptop several times and it has no affect. I've searched for anything related to this online, but I haven't found anything. I found a few things about Windows update problems, but nothing specific or related to this problem.
