There's probably a quick solution to this problem. I was downloading some PDF files for my next semester and wanted to name the files their full titles for later reference. That ended up with one of the files becoming too long and of course I can't just rename it or delete it now -_-*
I searched online and got the solution to access and rename the file using CMD but as the below quote of my prompt shows, I might be doing something wrong but I have to admit that I'm not very experienced in CMD so I was hoping that someone could help me out here?
Ok, so as is obvious I understood the procedure as if I'm supposed to use that shortname "MAYES_~1.PDF" and rename the file to something shorter and that's where it stops working for me. Can anyone help me out here? I already tried killing the OneDrive process in the task manager but it didn't help me, also I double checked that one of the other files in the same folder could be successfully be renamed to "newname.pdf" >. >'
