Installing OS Question

Hi,

I'm getting an SSD soon and I would like to know if I can do a fresh install on the reinstallation DVD that came with the computer I bought. Is it the right C.D. to do a fresh install? Because it says on the C.D. that it's only for recovery and etc. But my P.C. didn't come with any other C.D.s
