I was having some issues with my surface pro so I decided to do a refresh. that worked fine, and I started installing the windows updates. in the middle of the updates the machine hung. I was forced to hold the power button to shut it down.
When I tried to boot it back up, it would get past the windows splash screen, and display a black screen with my curser.
I have been trying to boot into safe mode (holding shift+f8 at startup) or to a bootable lynx usb (holding volume down during startup), but nether of these thing seem to work. The only thing I am able to get it to do is go into the bios (volume up at startup), but the only thing there is "secure boot" I have tried all of the steps with secure boot enabled and disabled. Does anyone have any ideas?
