Issue: Audio Devices not being recognized; Microphone does not work, headphones do

This issue popped up I'd assume in the past few days, but I only noticed yesterday for the first time. I use a Turtle Beach Ear Force X12 (don't know if that's of any importance, but I figured I'd type in case it does) headset. I noticed, when playing a game, my mic was not working. I later went into Control Panel and into Sound to see what the problem was. Oddly enough, there was nothing listed in Playback or Recording. I still received (and can still receive) sound from the headset. When in game, I'm assuming the only reason it doesn't work is because the Steam (the game hosting client) client doesn't have any headset to detect, as windows does not. I've tested a different headset (of the exact same model) on my computer, exact same issue. I tested my headset on a different computer (again, of the exact same model; my dad and I have similar hardware, an XPS 8700). So the issue is definitely on my computer, and not with the headset.

Again, as I've stated: The headphones work fine, audio goes right through them. Yet it isn't being detected in the Sound tab of control panel. I'd assume the microphone works fine (Outside of Steam, where I mainly use it), though I'm not sure where I'd test this. Any ideas on what I need to do would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to this forum, so sorry if I didn't post any necessary information.
