I recently have taken over my wife's laptop, as it is considerably newer than mine I wanted to see if it could play any relatively older video games. Unfortunately the graphics card was, for some reason, under preforming. It was a Intel Graphics HD 4000, according to the online specs it was more than capable. However when I tried to update it via Intels official website I received the error "this version is not validated to your .." I cant remember the exact wording. What I do know is that the intel support forums said that this error message means that the OEM has customized their driver, thereby making it incompatible with Intels drivers. The forum suggested manually uninstalling the OEM driver and then manually installing their driver. I uninstalled the OEM driver, however I now cant install the intel driver, or reinstall the OEM driver from the Asus website. I get an error message when I try to install the Intel driver, it says my pc does not meet the minimum requirements. I just don't know what to do. My laptop is a S300CA-BBI5T01.
