Dell Inspiron 3847
Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
intel (R) Core (TM) i3-4130 CPU @3.4Ghz
8GB memory
Desk Top
NO touch screen..
McAfee LiveSafe (pre installed free 30 day.. ..they are offering 1 year for $19.95 so probably keeping it)
Lots questions but most important first.. I have given myself some time to become a little bit familiar but please be patient with any instructions.
(1) I need to make a system back up disc as this did not come with one..
(A) CD or DVD
(B) size of disc needed
(C) Cyberlink and other bloatware
(a) do I remove bloatware before making back up disc
(b) is there a way you can help me decide what I do not need or do not want of the pre installed programs.
(c) can you help me remove those programs completely
So far while I get the, I guess fascination, of 8.1 and while so far I am not having the frustration others seem to have I can say that in a efficiency of number of 'clicks' to do something as compared to XP... XP wins.. I cannot figure out why there are some pages that the only escape from is the windows key or the lower left corner icon which basically is making you start the 'project' all over. The simple addition of a 'back or 'x' choice would fix that problem.. but then I am not a computer engineer genius.... Yet...LOL..
