Whenever I try to log into Windows on 8.1x64, it takes over 40 seconds. I recently tried waiting before putting in my password and found out that it's not registering my Ethernet connection (I moused over the connections icon and saw that "no connections available" was displayed, then the blue circle of patience, and then when my connection showed in the list, the system became responsive again).
I can't imagine why this would be happening. I'm using the onboard ethernet connection on my ASRock z77 Extreme 4, plugged into a Linksys WRT1900AC plugged into my Arris cable modem.
Any ideas?
