OK, I'm getting to grips with how things work in my new win 8.1.... I searched for things on this subject, but I didn't get any working results.
When my PC starts to boot, it flashes a black screen very quickly but I managed to read at the bottom
"For boot menu press the Esc key" .... well, I did and have not had any success with it.... the PC just continues to boot normally. That message is there only for a split second and you have to be fast to hit the Esc key when it shows but all that happens is the normal boot procedure.
I have got to the boot menu by going through the charm bar etc. but that is when the PC (HP) is booted and working but I want to learn what happens if and when I can't boot normally.
Help appreciated.
