Solved: no audio

Hi tech guys,

Hope you can help ive upgraded to windows 8 from xp with a clean install, but i cant seem to get the audio working, ive manuelly gone thro device manager and up dated everything in there and its telling me all drivers are up to date. My speakers are plugged into the green 3.5mm socket and are powered by the usb connection.

please help im losing the will to live at the moment:)
