Solved: Won't print from pdf

A newbie to Windows 8.1 (moving from XP!)...


The new PC seemed to detect and install the drivers needed for our Canon MP610 no problem and I have successfully printed from Word. But when I open a saved pdf, it doesn't print: it just endlessly says 'spooling'.
