USB troubles

i have got win8 OS and i am using a USB port hub to connect my usb devices. It worked properly until yesterday. But now it's not. The pc port itself seems to be alright but ports in hub are not. When i connect my phone to a port in the hub, the phone charges alright but the computer doesn't seem to recognize it. The led light on the port also is lighting up just fine.
