Hello, I will try to briefly explain my problem I have been trying to fix for 3 days.
It began with my laptop freezing that made me force restart it. After this the laptop would not boot to windows it would keep trying to auto repair and would fail. I attempted to refresh as well as reset with a windows 8 install cd both failed. i then tried to format my HD during the install process of windows 8 it would not allow me to format it or let me install win 8.
I then tried to format the hd with DISKPART during the process of formatting the C: drive diskpart crashed and forced me to restart. now when running diskpart and typing the command "List Disk" nothing is found. The HD is shown in my BIOS. I have tried different bios settings nothing seems to work.
I have searched the web for a fix for this and found nothing. I would like to get this fixed without having to remove the hd from my laptop if possible.
EDIT** I looked again in my BIOS the HDD part in the Information tab just has "None" listed there. i fear the worst does this mean i need a new HD?
Thanks, Ben
