Solved: User folder gone missing

Hello. I was trying to find my AppData in the C drive subfolder, C:users/marcy/appdata/...


I could not find "appdata" (I know it was there, just not visible.) So, I highlighted Users, went to properties and clicked "hidden" thinking this would display everything in the user files. Windows did its thing and when it was done, my "appdata" folder still was not there. So, this time I specifically highlighted my user file "Marcy" and did the same thing, properties then hidden. When Windows finished the task my user file was completely gone. In fact, when I did a search for my user file in the Desktop view, I got a message that said "This folder is empty." Now there is no content in any of my folders...Documents, Pictures, Desktop, Documents, etc.... and when I click on the folders, I get the same message "This folder is empty."


HELP! Where did it all go and how can I get it back? I really need these files...
