Micorsoft and several "experts" (from magazines and forums) recommend that one uses a Microsoft Account(s) as the User Account(s) under W8 and W8.1.
Much has been said and written about the "benefits" of this method of setting up User Accounts.
But are there any disadvantages? And if there are what are they? For example, is security on the Windows system compromised?
What if the Microsoft Account is hacked? Would this open a channel to the computer that is using that account as a login?
It seems to go against the logic of good security to have "one key that opens all doors" - or perhaps I am just being paranoid? But then again when it comes to online security is paranoia not a good thing?
