Need Help Cleaning and Setting up New Laptop

I am hoping to get some help with removing unwanted programs/bloatware on my new PC, help with deciding what I need and don't need to run in my start up, help with determining if I have decent protection installed and any other advice recommended.

I have only removed McAffee using the removal tool. I installed Superantispyware and Malwarebytes, ran a quick scan of both, Superantispyware came up with 233 tracking cookies which I removed, Malwarebytes came up empty. When I click on and open my Windows Defender, it shows that it is on and protected but for some reason it shows disabled below.
