My brother recently passed away, when I went to his place his laptop was plugged in, I opened it, moved the mouse and it came to life. Left it on, took it home, plugged it in and still no password prompt. I was able to access everything, including 6 years worth of pics.
Yesterday I accidentally touched the power button and next thing I know it's shutting down, no prompt or anything, just gone.
Now when I boot it it comes up with his name and email address asking for a password.
Also, he has a WD 1 gig Passport, I had it plugged in to my Win 7 laptop and all the pics were there too (he just recently got the laptop), but now when I look at it they're all gone?!
I'm desperate, I'm doing the slide show for his memorial and I need those pictures.
Anything at all I can do? Bad enough dealing with his loss but now I just feel sick...
