I thinking of buying a new Dell i3 dual core laptop, running Win 8, the sales guy says, it comes with a restore disc facility, I can auto make a restore disc upon startup. However, when pressed about restoring the computer from this disc, in the case of the computer crashing, he makes out its very difficult operation to perform, should I need to restore the computer, his tech team will restore back to factory settings. from the restore disc I make upon startup for £50 every time I need to restore Is this restore back to factory settings very techy?, can I find out how to do this operation myself? How can I protect my computer?, such as installing ATI to make an Imaged backupof the O/S , I have heard people have experienced problems imaging this O/S with ATI? All comments welcomed, concerning this issue, at 350 UK pounds for the laptop, this is not a throwaway item, and 50 quid a restore is not cheap either. I will be putting SPSS statistical analysis software onto it ,it is not uncommon for this s/ware to crash O/S.. Cheers .
P S. im talking the operating system crashed, gone. Dioes this restore disc get me back into the computer?
