I just bought a new HP Pavillion computer about 10 days ago. It has Windows 8 installed. The computer is an HP Pavillion.
First of all I noticed that when I would click on an icon on my computer, and it gets that rectangle around it to show its being clicked on, it would stay that way.
I was worried and I didn't want for it to be acting up already so I decided to do a System PC Refresh and start the computer back to where it was when I first bought it.
I had been transferring lots of files because I am a web designer, and so I had to download all my web templates and was trying to sort out all my files.
Now all of a sudden right after I did this system refresh, I go to my file folders and try to click on a .htm file and it just has a white blank page. Or if I am lucky it takes a minute for the page to finally show up. It was not doing this before.
They installed Norton on this computer so I really don't think its any sort of virus. I don't really know anything about computers or about Windows Program but does it sound to you like there is something that somehow is missing from my computer that makes pages open correctly?
I also noticed that on one page I was trying to open it has a Marquee scroll thing on it where a phrase scrolls across the page and it would open but freeze in the middle of scrolling then start up again.
Can anyone help me with this please? I am so frustrated because its a brand new computer and I have so many files I need to get sorted out on my computer.
